Hello, my name is Patti Lazenby. I have been involved in ICSAtlanta since 2017 when my daughter started kindergarten in the Spanish track. She attended through eighth grade and is now in high school!

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach a wide range of subjects and grade levels, including middle and high school English and Spanish, as well as first grade, ESOL, pre-algebra, and even PE. I’ve also worked at a variety of schools including public, private, and inner-city schools. I hold a bachelors and a masters in education and hold certifications for elementary education, secondary English, K-12 Spanish, and ESOL. These varied experiences have given me a flexible, inclusive, and student-centered approach to teaching.

Originally from Michigan, I’ve lived in various parts of the United States, which has enriched my teaching perspective and deepened my appreciation for different cultures. I currently live in Roswell with my daughter and our two cats (Ela and Beany).

When I’m not in the classroom, you'll probably find me on a walk, cooking something new, playing Bocce ball with my team, or curled up with a good book and a strong cup of coffee! Each school year brings something new, and I'm excited to continue learning alongside my students.
