5th Grade Spanish Teacher
My name is Migdalia Rivera. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Georgia ten years ago. I currently live in Kennesaw with my husband Angel Soto. We have been married for 39 years. My husband is an engineer, my daughter Nataly is a Chemist, and my son Gabriel is a Systems Administrator. I’m also a proud grandmother of two boys—Michael (13 years old) and Eathan Phillip (2 years old)—and the most recent addition to the family, my granddaughter, Claire Surey.
I love spending time with my family, teaching, traveling, writing, and creating meaningful memories. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and exploring new places.
My journey as a Spanish teacher began in Puerto Rico, where I earned my undergraduate degree from Interamerican University. I later completed a Master's Degree at the same institution. I am certified to teach Spanish from kindergarten through 12th grade and have taught various grade levels throughout my career.
After seven years of teaching middle school, I’m excited to begin my second year teaching at ICSAtlanta (my first year teaching 5th grade) and look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside my students.
